Tetralogy of Fallot

You have to memorize the four factors of Tetralogy of Fallot:

  1. Overriding Aorta
  2. Ventricular Septal Defect
  3. Pulmonary Stenosis
  4. Right Ventricular Hypertrophy

Atrial Septal Defect

“Widely split fixed Split S2 sound that does not vary with respiration”

Ventricular Septal Defect

“Harsh, holosystolic murmur at the lower left sternal border”

Patent Ductus Arteriosis

“Continuous machine like murmur”

Coarctation of the Aorta

“Delayed Femoral Pulses”

“Increase BP in the upper > lower extremities”
