Hyperparathyroidism
MCC = Parathyroid Adenoma
HYPERcalcemia symptoms such as:
- Stones (kidney stones)
- Groans (abdominal pain, muscle pain, constipation)
- Bones (bone pains and aches)
- Psychiatric Overtones (anxiety, lethargy, depression)
Hypoparathyroidism
Usually caused by parathyroidectomy
HYPOCalcemia symptoms such as:
- Cardiac arrythmias (Prolonged QT)
- Osteomalacia
- Numbness and tingling
